As an elderly resident living on Llantrisant Road , Groesfaen I feel that the ever increasing volume of traffic through the village represents a danger to all residents - particularly the very young,elderly and disabled. A safe crossing is needed.

The village amenities such as the park, our one & only shop, pub & church are all situated across the road from the majority of houses in Groesfaen. A pedestrian crossing is vital to ensure safety for all.

The Village is in desperate need of this crossing the traffic travel at a ridiculous speed and then slow down rapidly before the speed camera something needs to be done!!

It is very difficult and dangerous to cross the road particularly at rush hours with a continuous line of traffic running towards Cardiff.
The speed of the traffic through Groesfaen is excessive,particulaly now that the speed camera is not operating.

It is very difficult to cross the road, particularly near the Chappel where children need to cross to access the play area, or
where adults to access the Dyne for pub. If nothing is done there will be a fatality.

The speed cameras make no difference people tend to slam on their breaks as they hit the camera. There is no safe place to cross, considering, shop, pub,park etc are the opposite side of the road to most homes.

If it goes ahead it would be best to place it opposite the park so children can cross safely and adults to the local pub.
