This is a petition to remove the talent "living bomb" from WotLK. If we stand any chance at getting this removed, we need people to unite and show blizzard we do not approve of this talent as a community in a diplomatic way. As mages, we are supposed to be (by blizzard definition on the site) the primary ranged dps class. However, our role in the past has been reduced to dispensing biscuits or becoming an AoE machine. AoE's are not ranged dps, and living bomb further perpetuates our role as an AoE class. We, the mage community, would like to formally petition blizzard to remove living bomb from the upcoming expansion in favor of a more powerful ranged spell or a talent that would increase our overall DPS. We appreciate the work you are doing with frostfire bolt, and would like to see mage trends continue in this direction. As a community, we would be more than willing to help you research what our exact needs would be for this talent through more topics like your "mage feedback" thread. We would also be agreeable with keeping the title "living bomb" as long as the talent is completely reworked so that it is not an AoE.
