When running for Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson promised he would keep weekly bin collections. He has broken that promise.
Council reps have been visiting addresses who have produced more waste than the purple bin can hold and informed them that from January enforcement officers would be issuing fines.
This is a tax on families as homes with more occupants will produce more waste.
There is a definite hygiene issue and many people are already reporting issues with more rubbish on the streets.
