SDW, we are concerned parents advocating for our hybrid learners. We want live classes for all. We call upon you to provide live teaching for all students to ensure their successful participation in the reopening plan voted upon. This will be especially helpful if someone in class has to quaratine. This will allow our children access to a better educational experience and will keep our children current if there is a need to quaratine, without interruption to their learning experience. Please, while half the class is in person, allow the other half to tune in to class for live instruction. This will give our students much needed face to face instruction and direction and address issues of possible quaratines without disrupting their current learning model.

There is no reason for not providing live streaming. It would be a simple thing to do. There should not have to be repeats on lessons. My son is in college but hearing how waukesha is handling this for other students is not acceptable. I would not be happy at all about how this whole process is being handled.
Streaming should have been a consideration as soon as this happened in the spring. Technology allows for Live Streaming on the fly currently in various forms. There is no reason this can’t be achieved. I’m sure there are IT consultants in the district to help.
Teacher could use iPad to stream live teaching. App such as Zoom costs just $15 per month. Why is it ok to teach our students just 2 or 3 days a week vs 5?
only 2 days of face to face learning is really going to hurt my son who has consistently been behind in math and reading.
Our kids deserve a real chance to learn. Please live stream or webex class and take attendance for the cohort that is distance learning each day. Getting this in place will allow kids to have access to their teachers every day and feel connected to their peers. It will allow kids to flow seamlessly between virtual and f2f learning if they are instructed to quarantine at home.
Our children need much more than the small part that the SDW has given them. I see the decision made by the district truly does NOT have our children best interests at heart.
I think there should be in person teaching. The percentage of children that suffer from co-vid is so small. I see children playing together outside all the time. I went to the zoo last Thursday and there were a couple of bus loads of kids there. We need to stop panicking. The number of cases isn't as important as the hospitalization and death rate.

My daughter with Special needs to be in school. She does better learning in school than I can give.
