As students of Little Lever School, we are made to understand that our education will help us with our choices in later life, a prime example of this is careers. Like the majority of other schools in England, Little Lever has supported a work experience week, in where year 10 pupils enter the workplace for the first time, to gain experience and understanding of their hopeful career paths. However, this year the school has chosen to discontinue work experience, and replace it with 'work related learning', which mainly consists of College/ University visits, offering no career experience or preparation whatsoever. This petition will eventually be handed into school officials, protesting their action of jeopardising young peoples futures by scrapping the idea of work experience.
