I am trying to set up a childrens arts cafe with affordable art in Crown Street, Aberdeen. The idea is to support the local community and make it a meeting place for people with children. Bread from the Breadmaker and art from local artists. I have got the Planning Permission, Building Warrant and am ready to go. I have done alot of research on this and feel it is a viable business. I have a strong Business Plan and Cashflow done with the assistance of Grampian Enterpise. I have attended some of their start up courses and feel confident in what I am doing. I have 10 years hospitality industry experience and for the past 15 years have worked in recruiment at a senior level. My problem? The banks are refusing finance despite agreeing it is a good idea. I therefore am trying to prove there is a demand for such a venue, that's where your help would be greatly appreciated.
