I had the good fortune to know Richie Hayward in his later years, living in Topanga, CA. A tremendously down to earth guy, who when he was not on the road with Little Feat, would regularly play with local musicians in a tiny little back room of our Mexican Restaurant in town...
As for Little Feat themselves there are just so many great songs and albums they left us with from their 1970's Lowell George hey-day. They have been an influence on a great number of bands over the decades since, and it is hugely disappointing that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, thus far, has not recognized them. duly.

I had the pleasure of seeing Lowell George and the band four times in 1978.....They were traveling where I was that year, apparently.

My favorite live show of all time was a gig they did at Irvine Auditorium on the Penn campus in 1974
