Now, how many artists and bands have they influenced, not to mention their own work? Not a band of the moment, but one for all time. All time=Hall of Fame, right?

Little Feat: One of the most talented, diverse, groups of musicians ever! They were so far before their time.... They fit no single genre of music. Now days rock, country, blues, etc. all blend together. Thank God music is no longer categorized. I never listened to Johnny Cash till 10 years ago, I'm 65....Because of me, many of my friends now also love him. What would Jerry Garcia say regarding Little Feat not being in hall of fame? Do you think they would get Linda Ronstadt or Bonnie Raitt's vote! Lowell taught Bonnie how to play the slide guitar... Ask Eric Clapton. He ran into Billy Payne in lobby of Townsend Hotel in Birmingham Michigan. Little Feat were PRE band for George Thorogood at small outdoor theater, Meadowbrook in Oakland County, a suburb of Detroit. Clapton was playing 2 nights later at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Clapton is a huge fan of Little Feat and showed up at Meadowbrook the next night and played entire show with pre band "Little Feat." (Hey I'm not knocking George Thorogood-I'm a fan) I know Alto Reed so I called him the night before and he also showed up and did some songs with Little Feat. Peter Frampton dedicated a song to his friend Richie Hayward - he had not passed away yet, and it was Frampton doing Little Feat- amazing. My point - if its a true Hall of Fame, it should be structured to honor the best, no matter their generation, and decided by a "crossroads" of the public and music industry, similarly to sports hall of fames. In major sports with varying structures, the general public has a large input in nominees, but each sport has other "committees of, legends, media (that one hurts!), etc." that have input on who makes it. In sports, nominee has to be retired for 5 years - that's no issue in music. In most cases musicians don't retire until they die, unfortunately sooner than later. Make the music hall a fame a true tribute to talent, innovators, and the personalities (not money) that bring so

Inexcusable neglect. Feat should have been in for 25 years. Have to believe Lowell torqued off someone in the Wenner family.

The only band to attain a certain kind of excellence as a rock and roll, jazzy, funky, blues group, with a hint of country, !!!

Anyone that can write this line of the song Rock and Roll Doctor belongs in the R.R.H.O.F. He's got 2 degrees beb-bob a P.H.D. in swing he's the rock and roll doctor he's the rock and roll king!!! I mean really come on. Little Feat was one of the best live shows ever. Also the most influential bands of all time. One of the first after Sly to integrate the band by adding Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton. Put them in the Hall

One of the greatest bands of the 1970s, both as writers and performers. Their selection to the Rock & Roll Hall is long, long overdue.
