Yes this will bring a lot of job opportunities as well for locals looking for work and good business to lithgow, a lot of ppl go to Penrith, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Orange to shop so look at the business lithgow will get instead of all these other areas, shop local I say bring on K-mart

This would be a start to encourage people from out of town to come here to spend money instead of everyone going elsewhere and spending out of town.

A K-Mart / Big-W or any other major chain brand store would increase not only the employment opportunities for locals, but it eould also keep the funds in the town for further infrastructure development. Lithgow is just a gap filler on the road from Bathurst to Penrith. Change the way the town looks and people and business's will come.

A Kmart or big w would give more competition for pricing in Lithgow not to mention career opportunities. Comparable with Sydney. It would reduce the necessity for locals to travel long distances to locate affordable variety
