The council finally reversed their position and agreed to our terms today. Seeing the impact of those 308 signatures proves that we cannot be ignored when we refuse to stay silent. We won this battle but I intend to keep watching them closely to ensure they hold to their word.

I have been hearing from so many of you who feel ignored by the council just like I do. The local representatives are still silent but your collective frustration is becoming impossible for them to overlook.

Watching this count climb reminds me that I am not the only one frustrated by how our city council operates. We are nearing the hundred mark and need just a bit more momentum to ensure they actually pay attention to our concerns.

time to end this pointless charade. End the mask mandate and fully open the city of Lincoln. The city councils silence on these issues says volumes.

Stop taking our rights away for a virus that has a 99% recovery rate. Even if we were in a pandemic, NO pandemic supersedes our Constitutional Rights to breath. A mask is a PPE and that decision needs to be between ME and My Medical Doctor. If this was a true pandemic, you wouldn’t need to convince us that it was.

Facts are being withheld from the one sided debate and Mayor Baird made an unjustifiable mandate based solely off of incomplete information. The Health Director must go through the process of being confirmed with concerns being heard from the public first.

The current Lincoln mayor and city council do not speak for the majority of Lincoln! It's time to take back our city!

Follow the science is the mantra spewed while decisions with tyrannical consequence ruin other people without consensus, without procedural follow-through, and without care for it. Even if Pat Lopez is officially sworn in, this administration has lost all credibility throughout. Time for a clean slate. There is simply no respect left.

Ridiculous that our Mayor allowed protesters to stay out past curfew, then she slaps this worthless mask mandate on us. I have called her office a couple of times, and have gotten treated very rudely by her office staff. I reminded her that she works for me.
