The work is too much and yes I understand that the teachers don’t want us to fall behind but I feel like the work given is now getting out of hand considering the overwhelming of the Covid-19.

At first the workload was fine, but I feel as though our weeks are getting crammed with big loads of work and assignments, it is too hard to keep track of so much work and assignments and it is mentally and physically draining.

I understand that the teachers are trying really hard to get the best marks for all the students in the school but adding work on top of work is not working for me personally , it’s just too much at this point.

I agree with this petition. I also understand that all the teachers are trying everything to get as many marks in as possible, but it has been a struggle with the load being piled on us.

Dear Curro Hazeldean Collage, I would like to tell you that I was fine within the first two weeks of online schooling with the workload but now I cannot manage. The workload is becoming a lot and on top of that I have homework. I would like to ask if perhaps the work could be lessened and learners get more time to finish assignments because this is becoming outrageous! I speak for my fellow hazies when I say that we did not get this much work even during school and online school should be no different.

Dear Principal and Heads of Curro College
The work you guys are imposing on us is not the amount of work you guys would be giving us on a normal bases. This is impacting our lives negatively.
Yes. Online schooling is the way to go these days. But mentally we kids are oppressed. I don't think you guys realise how much educational strain you are putting on us. A guy in Wits committed suicide because of such. The workload is starting to depress some of us. May you please have empathy for us.

Dear Curro Hazeldean Management and principal,
We as the students feel as if the work load is a lot, we can not cope for the work is more that usual. If we were going to school the work load would not be as much. Even my parents agree on this. So if Curro Hazeldean has a heart it will decrease the work load and assignments sent to the children.
