Commercial development along I-10 is good for our City; however, a compromise needs to be reached regarding height and setback that preserves the integrity of our neighborhood while still benefiting the City and property owner.

I'm just up the street from the proposed 6-story building and am adamantly opposed to a building of that height in my neighborhood. Not only would it detrimentally affect my property values, but the additional traffic would ruin our little, close-knit community as well as be a danger to the many children in the area. Finally, I cannot believe that our SVV Councilmembers would in good faith approve a building that would absolutely destroy the right of enjoyment of their home by the homeowners in the Cardwell St. cul-de-sac as well as the owners along the southern part of Bade. Those folks are already suffering because of the sound wall. Let’s not make it even more difficult for them to enjoy their home. Please do not approve a building that exceeds 54 feet and has less than an 80’ setback.

We do not support high commerical buildings in the area. It would have a negative impact on the drainage and sewer system. It could cause first time flooding in our area.

We already have , none resident traffic thru our neighborhood. We don’t need more of that. They don’t respect the speed limits , and we have a lot of small children playing in the streets.

As proposed, this development will degrade the residential nature of the community and undoubtedly will have negative repercussion on the value of our properties. In particular, having three stories of parking visible and fronting our homes, on the line between Campbell Rd and Adkins Rd will be extremely ugly. In addition, the three floor of offices above the parking will overlook our homes and compromise privacy. We therefore urge our representatives to defend and preserve the residential character and integrity of our village, which we all share and are proud of.

The tall buildings right next to our court and neighborhood definitely have a negative impact on SVV residents' privacy and safety. The safety of SVV residents should not be compromised by any commercial benefits.

Spring Valley has built, and maintained, a charming and safe residential community. The integrity of the family-oriented small village is at jeopardy with the entrance of commercial activity. This invites a number of degradations to our privacy, mis-proportions future property value growth for the homes in this area of Spring Valley, and is not serving the best interests of Spring Valley citizens. You can drive through Bunker Hill - Hedwig Village - and surrounding villages and you will not find a 6-story commercial building peeking into the yards of residential properties. Reconsidering this entire commercial build would be optimal, but at minimum limiting the story height and distance proximity to residents of Spring Valley would be best for protecting citizens and properties.

My house is extremely close to this proposed new building as well as other homes in the cul de sac in which I live. I will have a view of it from my yard & every time I drive to and from my house. I am requesting that necessary steps be taken to influence lowering the height of this new building so as not to distract from our street’s residential appearance and our privacy.
