The law should be that you need to be a Canadian citizen and resident with all of your worldwide income taxed in Canada in order to buy Canadian real estate

i born in PRC not Hong Kong, we no rich money people, only work hard to live good life. New chinese coming now too much free money from treat people poor in factory-so much steal from people, run away. bad bad people now live like king no worries. wait for PRC spies to come get and disapear. Glad we no money, or steal now-we are safe and happy.

I make 100k plus annually and cannot afford to have a family let alone by a home in Vancouver or Greater Vancouver for that matter. I grew up in and work in Vancouver but feel displaced by foreign money that has driven the prices of Vancouver real estate way out of my sights

This has gotten beyond nuts! Prices are up 25% in one year. But offshore buying is having no influence? RIGHT! Its all those people who have gotten the juicy raises in the last year .

I was born and raised in Vancouver and now neither myself or my children have any chance of living there.
There are empty houses everywhere with the foreign owners just waiting for prices to go up higher and higher.
