Hello 2L Dual JD's! My name is Lilah "Lily" Vassilenko and I am running to be your 2L Dual JD SBA President for the 2021-2022 year. My goal in my campaign would be to continue my work in addressing student's needs during an unprecedented and increasingly unpredictable time. As Dual JD's, at times we are treated as the "forgotten" about in academic and social concerns between Windsor and UDM. During my time as the 1L Dual JD Faculty Council Representative for Windsor's SLS, I learned how the environment of student government runs and was able to successfully achieve notable feats for my fellow classmates and friends; secured the fail-safe exam procedure for 1L Dual JD's, acted as a liaison and voice for students in the decision for Fall 2021 Delivery, acted as a class representative in addressing deadlines for ALTA, etc.

My experience in Windsor's SLS I believe is vital in understanding how to effectively unite the SBA and importantly, how the SBA should cooperate with the SLS. I aim to continue to ensure Dual JD voices, opportunities, and concerns will be heard on both sides of the border.

In addition, I will aim to create more social events(both in-person/virtual) that integrate our class together, especially as we may return to campus soon.

Lastly, thank you to all of you who have already supported and believed in my efforts over the past year. I hope that my campaign assures you in continuing your support in my bid for the 2L Dual JD SBA Presidency. I hope to have the chance to share my platform with you all on September 10th!
