Whatever happened to the Lilt Ladies? One of advertising's favourite tricks is to create a false heritage for a product, preferably from somewhere exotic like the Caribbean. Mars' Bounty is one example, Coca-Cola's Lilt is another. Launched in 1970, Lilt - with the "totally tropical taste" - is sold as a product that captures the happy-go-lucky relaxed attitude of the Caribbean. In fact, Lilt is only available in the UK and Ireland. But what happened to Blanche & Hazel - the Lilt ladies?
