In January of 2007, Alice was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and hospitalized on and off for two and a half months. In her absence the Father of her two beautiful children, Lilly and Noah, filed for emergency custody. Temporary custody was granted. A custody battle followed for the next seven months, while maintaining a 50-50 custody. The outcome was an agreement that the children would live with Alice, for she was more stable as a parent. This angered the Father's parents and they filed for custody. On October 11th, 2007 these two beautiful children were ripped from their home and forced to live with their paternal grandparens in Georgia, 623 miles away from their Mother. This petition is a fight for Lilly, Noah and Alice. If you feel that Alice is anything but a wonderful Mother, please do not participate. However, if you, like me believe that Alice deserves her precious gems back, please participate. Please help us in this fight. God Bless. Updates

November 2, 2007

The stories shared by others who have faced similar separations confirm that this struggle is about much more than a single legal decision. I am spending time reviewing the heartfelt messages left here and finding strength in the shared commitment to reuniting a mother with her children. Your willingness to look closely at this situation provides a necessary perspective as we continue to advocate for Lilly and Noah.

Reaching this level of support validates the belief that what happened to this family was fundamentally wrong. It is heartening to see so many people recognize the humanity in Alice's struggle to reunite with her children. Your attention to their story gives me renewed focus for the next steps we must take.

This is just heartbreaking. No mother should have to go through this after being sick. Send them home where they belong!

600 miles away from their own mom? That is straight up cruel. Shame on those grandparents for doing this to those kids.

Total incompetence in the legal system. Disgusting behavior from the grandparents.

The courts really messed this one up big time. Poor children. Get them back to their mother already.
