I too find this to be criminal with devastating, long lasting pain and a lifetime of determination to overcome. It’s comparable to being murdered but still alive. You are taken to your knees, that is unless you take your own life first.

Timely recognition of a highly covert crime that is not known or understood by the majority (likely over 90%) of the population in all countries.

I am in the man problem. Haven’t talked to me family or any friends in 2 years. Basically homeless not a dollar to my name, left everything I know for a woman who was never honest and intentionally put me in legal trouble to move back to our home and leave me displaced

I fully support this, I have dreamed of a law that will be enforced like this. Although, my concern is what if... after being abused for so long, now you have used narcissistic traits to use as a defensive mechanism against abuser, to either dissolve abuse by trying to seem like your playing their game or other reasons, to confuse them, get back at them or just to try to make them want to leave you for good as the end result and let the blame be on anyone they want to, as long as they leave, but now they have persuasive evidence to use against you to manipulate the situation to be treated as the abused party by authorities and courts? I am fully supporting the law and I hope that it's enforced, and people who are in committed relationships are respected and taken very serious. I have had a couple life altering experiences against my will and out of nowhere blindsided and it's wrong, and damaging forever. My daughters were affected as well ripped the rug out from under them and had experienced situations that were not fair.

I believe that all people should be free from verbal, mental and physical abuse. No more should a person suffer in silence due to manipulation and control.

The accumulation of emotional, financial and psychological abuse that breaks you down without your knowledge which eventually turns you into a stranger to yourself resulting in PTSD, financial ruin and mistrust of the human race should be as punishable as a cult leader is the eyes of the law.

It truly is abuse. Spousal abuse and child abuse. And unless you are there no one would ever notice. Its a behind the wall abuse. And long lasting to those affected by it, sometimes having lifetime affects.

Narcissism is definitely a problem that needs addressed. My world was turned upside down by one. They are dangerous people. I have my doubts about how you could ever prosecute someone over such an emotional issue, emotional abuse hard to prove/define. Those people are so conniving and manipulative...would probably worm their way out of any charges.

Hi, I 've been married 25 yrs and didn't realize I was in an abusive marriage until 3yrs ago when he wrapped his hands around my neck. The next betrayal was very recently when he discarded me without notice.

Right now, you can only punish abusers if they are physical. What happens to all the victims who suffer longterm, sometimes lifelong, problems due to emotional, mental, and psychological abuse???
