I don't have an overall idea about the issue. However, I agree that such a decision should be made after talking to sisters and letting them know the reasons for the decision.

Please turn off the lights at sisters' section. We feel uncomfortable. It distracts our focus. It allows the women to be seen from the men section. Thank you

First, I'd like to thank the board for their efforts and time. Its surprising to see the Masjid board change their opinion 180 degrees without going back to the rest of the community. I've heard some illogical reasoning about the decision, but quite frankly it doesn't make sense.
I always like to see the Masjid board sharing their decision making process with the rest of the people and that's why I signed this petition and I strongly urge the Masjid board to listen more. May Allah guide all of us to the straight path.

As a representation of democracy, a vote should be put into effect. Decisions should not be done by the board only. They are a sample size representation of the people and a majority from the people should indicate which decision should be made.

The Masjid is ours all of us, decisions cannot be made without us and imposed on us. Disabling the switches is un insult to the sister's.
Objection to the lighting be in high mosque
