I used to enjoy taking the light rail into the city for Orioles games and concerts. It's terrifying to ride now, and I am not comfortable ever leaving my car there. It's a shame because it is such an affordable way to take transportation into the busy city. I hope that we can clean up the area and keep the neighborhoods surrounding it safe.

Maybe if these light rail users actually had to pay they wouldn’t be so quick to come to Cromwell, Ferndale or Linthicum. It’s a sad day when I tell my kids we can’t ride the train to the Disney Show because it’s too dangerous.

My home in Linthicum was broken into several year ago and on another night I was driving home from work and out of the dark a bottle hit my car. I turned around and found two young boys running toward the light rail station. I stopped them and gave them the option of calling their mother or the police. We called their mother and it turned out they were 11 and 12 and they lived in Baltimore City and their mother had no idea they were in Linthicum walking the streets and throwing bottles at people's cars. It's ridiculous - close these stops!!!

I live in Brooklyn Park but frequent Cromwell Field and have had my car vandalized. I don't feel safe walking around the stores there because I am disabled and unable to defend myself.

Run it properly, staff it properly, secure it properly, add law enforcement and MTA OFFICERS on board and at stops. Send to BWI WHERE EVERYONE IS SAFER. SHOW ACCOUNTABILITY PROFITS AND LOSSES, TICKET SALES. MONEY FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS COMING FROM YOUR PROFIT NOT THE TAX PAYERS. RE ROUTE TO BWI WHERE PEOPLE ARE SAFER AND SO AFTER THERE VEHICLES. TIRED OF HEARING HORNS TILL 1am and again starting at 5am between the planes and the light rail we get NO SLEEP. TIRED OF BEING ROBBED AND HARASSED. LOST A ONCE PROSPEROUS SHOPPING CENTER.

I support closing the Linthicum, Ferndale & Cromwell Light Rail Stations. I have lived in Ferndale, and now Linthicum, all of my life. I watched the Cromwell Shopping Center being built as a child and saw it thrive in my youth. I loved the Hallmark store, my Opthamologiat was in the shopping center, and I continued to use the Giant well after I bought our home in Linthicum. I watched the light rail be built and then slowly but steadily over the years the crime came and the stores left. We still used Giant as our pharmacy until it closed last Fall, reportedly because of all the shoplifting and overdoses taking place in the bathroom. Even though I was loyal, I wouldn’t shop there at all hours of the day as I had done in the past. There were always people loitering in the parking lot and videos circulating on social media of junkies nodding off or passing out on the curb outside of the plasma center. Instead of the light rail bringing prosperity to the community, it did exactly the opposite and depressed it as much as it possibly could by chasing all the businesses away and bringing crime to the residential neighborhoods. I can’t believe we the citizens have had to take matters into our own hands with petitions and rallies to be heard. It seems no one is working for us and we’re fed up!

I have watched this area go down since the rail. Since 911 they should be no question of safety and security. When it comes to be state run them they should be accountable to show revenue especially since we know it is on the red or it would be staffed and ran properly. Evidently there is not even enough money being made to staff it. Only government's transportation I know if that is ran this unsafe and ACCOUNTABLE

close it we all knew it was going to be a problem, and it was. 2 shopping centers less then 3 miles apart, Cromwell, once thriving now a broken ghost town, Burwood plaza, same road, no light rail, thriving nicely, to include the best restaurants around, full of tenants , only difference is the light rail. What more do you need.
