When my friend from CA came to visit, we took the Light Rail into Baltimore. That was so embarrassing! One trip, some creepy guy at the station asked to touch her hair. The next trip, years later, someone was smoking on the train. Needless to say, she does not like our Light Rail. Back in CA, San Jose's Valley Transit Authority has privately contracted security on its Light Rail. I took that everywhere and never felt unsafe. And the one time I hopped on without a ticket, I was caught. I've stopped riding MTA's Light Rail years ago. I'd rather drive into Baltimore or BWI.

You need to run a save, secure and accountable means of transportation. When you are not accountable and Buisnesses and shopping centers are closing time to close it down. When communitiees and neighborhoods are being robbed and attacked time to close it. People should unite and file a claim with action law suit for all that they have lost. Families should unite and file with this Association for deaths related to this poorly ran system. SHAME ON All OF YOU

We have lost a shopping center, buisnesses, jobs, and revenue.
MTA HAS NO TICKET CHECKERS, NO MTA OFFICERS ON AND OF THE TRAIN, NO EMERGENCY PHONES FOR HELP, AND MOSTLY NO ACCOUNTABILITY. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO BUYS TICKETS. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY AFTER MAKING ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE UP KEEP. EVIDENTLY THEY STENT MAKING ENOUGH TO STAFF PROPERLY OR MAKE SAFE. PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO RIDE IT. SEND IT TO BWI WHERE WE ARE SAFE AND SO ARE OUR VEHICLES. ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE DIED, ENOUGH TRAINS NOTHING PEOPLE AND VEHICLES AND DEFINITELY ENOUGH ROBBERIES AND ATTACKES. TIRED OF THEM STEALING FROM OUR COMMUNITIES AND TAKING STOLEN PROPERTY ON THE LIGHT RAIL.

I am originally from Ferndale. Over the years when I have returned for visits I see the problems that certain travelers of the light rail have wrought on the community. The Cromwell shopping center is a ghost of what it originally was and the area is not nearly as safe as prior to the light rail. I don’t blame the people of these communities for wanting the rail stops closed and I applaud their efforts to see that accomplished!

I never lived in this neighborhood for 28 years and it has gone from very nice place to live,to trash and I really don't want to live here anymore because of the crime.
