I strongly object to the height of this development and feel it would impact negatively on the lives of those in neighbouring properties. We are in need of more low density housing( height wise) in Battersea where people actually want to live.

the river side in Battersea does not need high rise blocks. That whole area with its new developments is already a soleless ghost town not for lack of homes but because the surrounding flats are all empty due to having been bought by foreign investors. The same thing will happen with these tower blocks. It is simply a case of greed on behalf of the council. It must be stopped.

The new development is out of proportion and will have a negative impact on the area. In addition, the surrounding roads cannot cope with the associated traffic.

I object to this planning application. This totally out of proportion and unsuitable for the proposed site. Consultation for those affected by this has also been inefficiently done by council.

Residents in SW12 have been fighting a similar battle around planning permission 2014/3016... What we have witnessed is absolutely shocking, and had we known what we know now, we would have gone down the Judicial Review route. There is something very rotten in that planning department, affecting many more residents than we can imagine. It is about time this is put to a stop.

The local people are being discriminated by big business and planners. We need to retain the fabric and past for future residents to appreciate. This is none short of ethnic demolition of a Battersea/London culture. We can't keep pushing people and buildings to the side. Progress is not always for the better.

I own a flat at Candlemakers in Battersea. My main objection has to do with the serious impingement on the right of the residents to enjoy their properties
The proposed development will block daylight and will add on to the acute traffic and other problems experienced in the area.
I do not see the point of building regulations if they do not protect existing residents.
The council's role is to consult closely with residents: it has failed dismally to do so. Furthermore, it is highly surprising why the council has not rejected outright such proposals.
The council keeps on ignoring the need for green space areas and not add on to the serious overcrowding.
I do hope someone will come to their senses and listen to the locals who live nearby for once.

Voted Green Party for first time ever in General Election in May this year. As Trade Tower resident, last night took down curtains on windows overlooking Homebase. Hands black with dirt from traffic, curtains black with dirt from traffic. Have lived here 21 years and appreciate views from window of mature green trees in Homebase car park, now these will all be knocked down. In Trade Tower and Plantation Wharf generally there are dozens of toddlers and children with nowhere to play. They cannot visit York Gardens safely on their own to play with traffic. Light analysis of Trade Tower apartments did not properly attribute usage of rooms being affected by blockage of light. Living in lowest levels of Trade Tower, already burn lights all day when grey skies. My heating and light bills will increase, along with many others in Trade Tower when this 21-storey block is built. My son already has SAD - winter sunlight deficiency, with extra costs of purchasing sunlight-creating equipment which switched on and burning electricity during daylight hours. Trains at Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town are already jammed packed at 7am, so how are all these extra commuters from Homebase Tower going to find space on these trains. Reports in Evening Standard and weekend broadsheets identify outrage over unacceptable low occupancy levels of these tower block apartments and money laundering used to purchase these new apartments. I have boycotted Tescos for more than two decades in protest at their Tesco-towns, now this company is planning to close many down and reduce them in size. Planners must have know that there would be a backlash against these unpopular sites sooner or later. Will only be voting for Green Party as long as I remain a Wandsworth resident, at local, national and EU elections. All readers of this email, please also pledge in writing to only vote for Green Party from now on - you are all complaining of loss of environmental rights!
