The little bob needs a designated place for people to do free weight barbell movements. The current open space "free for all" style lifting are is inefficient and illogical. I have created this petition in an attempt to install lifting platforms in the little bob weight room. This will create a well defined and safe area for people to do barbell movements without worrying about dropping weight on someone or getting in the way of others. The addition of lifting platforms wont replace any of the current equipment in the little bob if it is organized properly and will only improve the quality and safety of the weight room. There are plenty of changes that can and should be made in the little bob and I believe this is as good a place as any to start.

I spent an hour in the weight room today watching someone nearly trip over a stray plate while trying to deadlift. This is exactly why we need a dedicated space and I am working on a formal proposal to ensure the staff finally takes our safety concerns seriously.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by the dangerous crowding in the Little Bob. It is heartening to know that so many of you want a safer space to train as badly as I do.

I agree with this petition completely. There should be designated spots for people doing barbell movements to ensure safety in the weight room.

Please install these. It would make the experience for many students using the facilities a lot better.
