The treatment of immigrant workers and women within the elitist confines of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has reached a critical point. The only defense workers have against the oppressive and coercive tactics of an autocratic regime is Trade Unions. Trade Unions are the backbone of any economic activism. The issue of immigrant workers is not an issue of Civil Rights but one of human rights. Corporations and the government are allowed to run freely with consequence, and since there is true democratic link between the government and the people, there are no "legal" methods of protests in order to achieve proper progressive regulations. The reason this petition is connecting banning Trade Unions to banning women from driving is because they both reflect the extent to which this country has taken its Ultra-religious capitalistic mentality to absurd extremism. There should be no debate on "women right to drive", just like there should be no debate on a "mans right to drive" or a “black man’s right to vote". Across the globe women do two thirds of the world's work, receive one tenth of the world's income and own less than 1% of the world's property (Robbins R, 1999). Its time to set things right, Abo Baker el-seddek advocated opposition to power and the people's right to peotest. "I have been given the authority over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me; and if I do wrong, set me right. Sincere regard for truth" This petition says enough!, in the hope of encouraging future activism and action. Thank You
