Turkish Cypriots have lived with embargoes since 1974. These include embargoes on exports. No airline can fly direct to North Cyprus which adds two an half hours to the flight having to land in Turkey and then take off again to Ercan airport

Updates

August 6, 2017

I am currently compiling a report on the economic impact of these flight delays to send directly to the transport ministry. Post this link on your Facebook accounts to force a response from policymakers. Text this link to three friends who travel to the region often and ask them to add their names.

We hit a significant milestone today that proves people are finally paying attention to the isolation of Turkish Cypriots. Post this link on your Facebook feed and email your local representative to demand they address these unfair aviation restrictions.

Earlier this year the British government ruled that the U.K. can operate an extradition treaty with TRNC, a territory ut doesn't officially recognise. The British Government has shown it can bend and manipulate international law to its own end. Let it lead the way and stop the inhuman and unfair exclusion of the people of Northern Cyprus.

Given the Turkish Cypriots voted yes to the United Nations sponsored referendum ( & the greeks voted no) someone explain to me how then does democracy and human rights work? Yet the no voting greeks were taken into the European Union and yet even more billions of € given to them??? And still going on to this day?!?!?

We are Turkish Cypriots and should be recognised as so, we have the same human rights as every other country/Nation in the world, we are being treated as a third world country

Outrageous state of affairs. The Turkish Cypriots were not the sinners, they were being ethnically cleansed until the Turkish army intervened. INTERVENED NOT INVADED,! Partition the island and stop this unjust punishment please

Lift this unfair and unjust Embargo and Isolation without any more delay. The Turkish Cypriots have done all they can to reunite the Island.
