Japan has some pretty strict laws against marijuana. Even as far as the research of it is banned. I have seen so many people that could benefit from medical marijuana. Japan is so afraid because the use of marijuana is already an issue and they are afraid it would only get worse. They like to point out all the "Negatives" of it, yet wont even allow for the research to be done so they can have solid proof it has more con's than pro's. They know that if they where to research they would come across all of the medical benefits it would have.

I started this petition to hopefully help more people become aware of the backwards laws in Japan in regards to the research of medical marijuana. And Hopefully bring it to light of how much it can benefit those people who have to take medication every day, or who suffer from depression and other mental/medical issues they are dealing with to those people who are so against it even being researched.

While I Believe medical marijuana should be legal all across the board for every state/country/province or whatever. People should be able to take a naturally grown plant, to help alleviate their medical symptoms without taking a chemical packed pill, or risk spending 5 years in jail (which is a common occurrence if you are caught with marijuana in japan.)

Sign the petition if Marijuana has helped you. In any way shape or form, so we can show them that their are more Pro's than cons, and to help make them realize that no harm can come from the research. Either its beneficial (and they can start the process of legalizing for medical use) or they have the proof they need that it has more negatives and shouldn't be used medically and nothing changes.

Thank you for your time in reading this, and with everyone's help. Hopefully we can start a movement to bring Japan one step closer to legalizing Medical Marijuana.
