I am personally involved with both these girls and know the trauma they have suffered due to the behavior of a very cruel and evil man. Our justice system means nothing if a criminal does not have to serve the entire sentence for a very well planned and executed violent crime. He was sentenced to life in prison for a murder; that means he must remain there for his lifetime.

I'm the half sister. I remember the day (April 16, 1977) I woke alone in an empty house with my two year old sister like it was yesterday. I immediately knew something was very wrong, as our mother was a deeply loving and responsible mother who always prioritized our safety and needs. This man's desire for release should not be granted. We cannot bring our mother back, but we deserve, at a minimum, the comfort of knowing that we, our young children and the rest of our families, as well as the community at large, are safe from this man.

The current justice system may think that this man should be released however friends and family were also given a promise by the court system that they could live out their lives safe from his harm by sentencing him to life.
