Having never set up a company prior to Goody Granola I am continuously/brilliantly/terrifyingly learning. Last week only of course after paying a non refundable trademark fee I learnt just the word ‘registered’ actually meant Lidl have the trademark for the word Goody in the cereal category until 2027. However Lidl only sell a hot chocolate with the name goody. I’m a tiny business with hope, belief but no budget. Therefore I am desperate for signatures to help persuade Lidl who aren’t using the word goody on any cereals to let me use the name my 7 year old son came up with for my home made, low sugar granola. ‘Goody Granola’. The IPO are formally approaching Lidl, but I want to also, do all I possibly can. I am desperate not to start packaging and design from scratch, and throw away paid for stock.
