We are a town full of (tuition) money and hundreds of students eager to learn new skills. Not everyone wants to be apart of industrial trade and that's not all that own town needs. We need nurses, educators, and many other community service providers. Our college could at least help us obtain some other skills aside from the mining industry.

This is great, not everyone can afford to leave for school!

Yes the CNA in Lab West should be maximizing the potential of being located so close to a brand new hospital. There are more educational requirements in this are other than mining..

It would be great if we could get this program offered locally. I'm sure their would be lots of people that would avail of this opportunity..

I've wanted to do this program myself. But to leave my family for such a long time would be very difficult. It's time for Lab West to get some promising opportunities as well.

With a new hospital and an old one sitting vacant (which could possibly be used as a residency and training center/school, thinking along the lines of St.Anthony) wouldn't it be an alternative for training nurses and doctors?

CNA LPN PROGRAM WOULD BENEFIT LABRADOR WEST

It would be an ideal situation for the people of Labrador to be able to stay at home & go to school & stay in our own towns to work because there's always a shortage of nurses , it's really expensive to live here otherwise.

Great idea! I would have loved to have the chance to do this course when I was younger raising my 3 children in Lab West! Leaving home wasn't an option for me either. It is time for it to happen!! Wanda Paddock
