We the parents and patrons of Liberty Public Schools support the LPS53 School Board and Administration's reliance on recommendations from the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and area public health departments for reducing the transmission of COVID-19 in our schools.

On August 30, 2021, a lawsuit was filed against the District Board of Education and Administration in U.S. District Court seeking to overturn the District's health and safety protocols related to COVID-19, including the District-wide masking requirement and certain other mitigation protocols such as quarantine processes. We support and appreciate the District and Administration for continuing to prioritize the safety of all in the District and following the recommendations of public health experts.

We understand these decisions affecting the health and safety of our students are among the hardest ones you make as District administrators and elected board members. We appreciate your service and dedication to our kids.
