I’m sure my comments makes no difference but I’ll state anyway. Look after our children, our families and ultimately our society and culture who live, work, live and breath life into our beautiful City of Edinburgh.

Funding has not been proportionally allocated two areas are receiving above maximum 30%. There are very important projects in South East that need more funds to be allocated to enable them to continue.

Unacceptable that such services are cut while vanity tourist projects get approval

This area needs funding for these groups, all I have heard lately is youths being stabbed or attacked in this area , this really scares me as I have an eleven year old son and I’m now a single parent due to loosing my parter to cancer , the kids around here need these groups so please give the funding for them , if these groups keep getting the funding hopefully it will keep these youths occupied instead of wandering the streets causing trouble, not all parents can afford to pay for out of school activity’s so please don’t take this away from them.

As the parent of 2 teenagers & 2 younger school aged children in south edinburgh this unfair allocation of funds very much infuriates me ! Our children are in no way in any less need of or entitled to safe youth group provisions and services . Provisions that provide for their health and well-being , that encourage them to fufil their potential and be best the that they can be , encourage them to interact positively with peers from other localities and appropriately work with them to address the current alarming issues that our children face daily within their own community . Funding should never be a postcode lottery ! The amazing work carried out in centres across ALL neighbourhoods in edinburgh should be equally and fairly celebrated and financed to enable them to continue . I very much worry what the impact of this decision will be

Funding is absolutely necessary in this area. Crime rates are so high, and that’s only the crimes reported! There will be many more crimes not reported because nothing gets done about it anyway! Give these kids the best chance by giving them somewhere safe to be, and the neighbourhood will be safer for all of us in turn
