When I first entered Lawrence high school as a freshman, I had a lot of trouble transitioning, but the music program was there for me. Playing in the concert band under Mr. Padron's conducting was where I felt most comfortable in the high school, and helped me to branch out more. He encouraged me to join pit orchestra, and later Red Scare, which helped me not only blossom as a musician but also as a person. I have taken concert band, wind ensemble, and am planning to take AP music theory next year with Mr. Padron's encouragement. Without the current music program at Lawrence High School, I would not have found my true passion for playing clarinet, and I am so thankful for everything Mr. Padron has contributed to my experience.

I have been to every football game and a great game has a great marching band. I haven't been to a great LHS game yet. We need to make a real matching band.

I support this. We need new energy and we lack compared to our rival in county programs. We need leadership that will work for and with the Board, not gaff behind their back. We always have to sit back and watch and now we want action and we need a bash and upfront leadership. We need to foster all prowess, not accept few. We need leadership that mobilizes the boosters

Keep Padron. He is a really good and insightful teacher. There is no other like him. He has improved the music program and can continue to do so. This school has a great music program. Do not let it go to waste.

I strongly disagree with the proposition. The program doesn't give back money or accolades compared to the previous leadership. While we put in thousands of our taxpayer dollars to this program, remember that we need to prepare our students for 21st century careers and if we cannot put our kids on top, we cannot treat this minnow of a program as if its on top.

Padron is one of the most valued teachers in the school. He has done a trenemdous amount of work for the kids and their parents in the music department. I have learned more in 3 years with him than all the years in middle and intermediate school music. LHS is already losing so many teachers, Padron can not be another one.
