A gay teacher’s existence and a picture of her spouse are not age-inappropriate material. Young students should learn that people can enjoy the same basic rights and respect regardless of their orientation. It’s inappropriate to teach children that they should be fired because of who they marry

This is disgusting, the teacher is lawfully married and is being punished for her marriage. She didn't promote or flaunt her sexuality, all she did was have a photo where her wife was visible.
Since when did Texas become such special snowflakes they can't handle anything that upsets them?

If someone in an opposite sex marriage can talk about their spouse at school, but people in a same sex marriage can't, that's blatant discrimination. Parents don't get to send their kids to a public school and then try to pretend that LGBTQ people don't exist.

If the district is protecting the contempt of parents over the basic rights of a teacher it is an unprofessional disgrace. Parents may want to hide their children from the peaceful lives of the wider community, particularly the lives of people those parents dislike, but that is not compatible with a peaceful, fair society or with strong education.

If one is teaching another education that is teaching love and time. If one is judging one based on who they love and not purely how they educate then they have imbalanced the scales of justice by devaluing human life, education, and the true value and meaning of love.
