The School Board's action is so wrong, considering all the anti-discrimination laws in effect in this country. She does her job, the Kids love her and she maintains the morals of her profession! She should keep her job!!

This is absurd. As an lgbtq+ youth, I feel so much anger at these adults. Hetero-cis people can discuss their relationships and identities and its not a matter of being "age appropriate." This teacher did nothing wrong and there is no way to justify her suspension.
There are no excuses for this. This is discrimination.

I'm ashamed that this is happening right down the road from me. I bet straight teachers who mention their spouse never get retaliation for not being "appropriate." Fix your policies. Protect your teachers.

There is NOTHING "age inappropriate" about a teacher disclosing being gay or having a same sex spouse. Children will never sexualize a relationship gay or straight at that age

This is a no brainer. Taking her out has drawn more attention district, city,and nationwide than the few kids she spoke to. Don’t promot and teach shame. Promote justice and equaliy.

I am appalled to see this kind of discrimination in my own city. I hope that Mansfield realizes that a persons partner of choice is not something to judge.
