For the council to support this illegal, barbaric, out of date cruelty is an absolute utter disgrace. It's about time councils actually represented the majority of people and not the rich few. These hunters need to be ridiculed by the 80% of people who do not wish to see it happening and push hunting back to the stone age!

The vast majority of people in this country are opposed to hunting of any kind with hounds. For the council to close roads specifically for the use of a Fox hunt is to ignore the majority view held by public and as such is a betrayal of your voters trust.

I strongly implore Lewes District Council not to close the high street on boxing day! By doing this you are encouraging the destruction of British Wildlife at the hands of a privileged few hunts people and choosing to ignore 80% of the public who are against hunting!

Many of the hunts, if not all of them blatantly continue to hunt foxes with hounds, they have as much regard for the law as they do for the fox or any other animal, wild or domestic that gets in their way. By offering to close roads to facilitate the hunts parading and posturing you will be condoning their crimes. You will also be offending the vast majority of your residents who abhor fox hunting (data is available to show this) and inconvieniencing motorists. Please don't support criminals.
