Please stop killing all animals in the name of sport. Sport is when all opponents are of equal wight and strength. Not idiots on huge horses with packs of dogs against one small, terrified fox.

Don't support illegal activities, and ensure Police remember what the law is about hunting AND ownership and use of a knife

Close to 80% of the population are opposed to hunting with hounds so why give this hunt the honour of occupying Lewes High Street on Boxing Day? Time to stop this piece of PR for the hunt

Savage people given such preference at a time of peace and goodwill looks very poor judgement by Lewes council

If hunting is illegal, why would a district council become involved in condoning such cruelty and abomination? Shameful, what a disgrace and a slur on the name of Lewes.

I am opposed to fox hunting in any shape or form anywhere. Lewes District Council should be setting a GOOD example by NOT allowing such atrocites to go on unhindered by the authorities such as Lewes District Council instead of cowing down to them. Come on WAKE UP!... The rich hunters playing their sordid perverse games are making a mockery out of this Council and the people responsible will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Stop being so weak and say NO to these pompous cruel killers of wildlife.

It's unacceptable for LDC to be supporting an activity which can and does lead to inhumaneness and cruelty to animals. The vast majority of the public abhor hunting with dogs and the Council should reflect that. This is an archaic practice which should be eschewed by decent people and their representatives.

Over the years, and more so in recent times this hunt have been one of most violent hunts around. Evidence collated by anti hunt groups and individuals clearly shows their (the hunt), disregard to the current hunting legislation as well as a violent following. In my opinion as with the majority of the UK public we feel any support shown in favor, i.e. allowing them to meet and hunt at their usual place does exactly this.

I am a District Concillor in Stroud Gloucestershire and would applaud Lewes District Council if they did not approve this road closure. This Hunt clearly flout not only the Hinting Act but also the rules and laws of decent and lawful behqaviour, not something local authorities should be actively condoning,
