Lewes District Council: Stop Supporting Hunting on boxing Day

Hunting is still illegal, do not encourage it as it cannot be policed effectively.

Stop living in the dark ages. Save our countryside LEAVE OUR WILDLIFE ALONE !!!

So much respect for the Hunt Sabs and the wonderful things you do for the animals!

The police do nothing to restrain these thugs, we rely on the bravery of the sabs to keep these dreadful people in check.

It's illegal - it's criminal that the police are turning a blind eye - put a stop to it!

This sadistic cruel practice has got to stop for good, and should not be aided by any County Councillors anywhere.

It's time for councillors to do the right thing - and not support groups of people who will resort to violence when they are caught in illegal activity. Say no to the closure of the town to satisfy this group (unless you've sold out your conscience).

Hunting is cruel, barbaric and out dated.

Please don't allow this to happen , if you do then you support blood sports!

Do not allow the closure of Lewis High Street on Boxing Day or any other day that will benefit the hunt of foxes, this is a dreadfully wicked pastime.

Stop using and abusing all animals.

They cannot be left unchallenged, they attacked someone with a knife and broke a bone by driving into someone else then knocked someone else's tooth out. They should be prosecuted for actual bodily harm and for carrying and using a dangerous weapon. Allowing this to carry on is outrageous they think because david Cameron is on their side they are above the law.

The 'sport' isn't nice and nor are the people who do it......

These people stabbed south Coast hunt sabs. The sabs are peaceful protesters, plus what exactly were they doing carrying knives? Goes to show they are violent people. Even if you're pro hunting, do NOT support these people. They are horrible and should be kept away from a hobby which makes them dangerous!

This hunt is run by and protected by thugs who should have no place within the modern rural economy - it needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Fox hunting with hounds is ILLEGAL and this hunt continue to ignore the law and (if) they lay a trail it is using fox urine to encourage hounds to seek out, chase and kill foxes. Hunt supporters/terrier men who want to carry on illegal torture and murder of foxes (deer and hares) are now carrying knives and inflicting such severe injuries on the saboturs/monitors that they need hospitalising, surgey and splinting. These hunt supporters are there to ensure the law is followed and by inflicting such injuries it is obvious that, that is not what is the hunts intention. Please stop them using the high street to advertise their illegal bloodlust and flagrant disregard of the law and make them clarify their hunt dates so they can be monitored and wildlife protected.

This is a blatant example of being able to break the law because you hold a position of power either in the government or the police force, its time people woke up to the fact that the law is the law and if its broken you are held responsible and suffer the consequences regardless of who you are..we have gone back 300yrs when lords and landowners did what they pleased its disgusting..
