As a legal firearms owner I am insulted that because of a illegally obtained firearm my rights and freedoms are being disregarded by a change to the laws in Australia.

Discusting that my rights may be taken off me and I have not along with so many others done nothing wrong, does this mean if I can load a single shot bolt action rifle and shoot in a matter of seconds and reload does this mean the rifle should be deemed illegal ???? This is the same for the Adler not everyone is going to be able fire and reload in seconds only a very small percentage may be able to!!!!

This country is becoming a joke, harsher penalties for the criminal's to start with but the government has only it self to blame, but all said and done there the biggest crooks lie to your face stab you in the back and not even bat an eye about it.

I don't think it's fair that LAFO are constantly considered by the media, MPs and the anti gun lobby as Urban Rambos hellbent on going on mass shooting rampages when they follow the laws and rules in place but nothing is done or said about criminals, terrorists etc who have illegally obtained and use illegal firearms to commit crimes and rather than tackle the real issue of dealing with the criminals the government's both state and federal and their respective police forces feel it's far easier to legislate against LAFOs and restrict them from obtaining what they have jumped through hoops to not only prove they are responsible to own but use and store as per regulations and law but criminals are left to roam the streets with their illegal weapons causing grief chaos and fear to the general public and it's appears to be ignored or put in the too hard basket

It seems the greens lead senate enquiry was a waste of tax payers money.
Restrictions on law abiding gun owners does nothing to stop criminals obtaining guns.

As a left handed shooter who often shares a firearm with other shooters in my hunting group, a level action firearm is the most practical solution to suit all parties.
To restrict this style of firearm is ludicrous. There is no correlation between criminals conducting firearm crimes and level action longarms. They should be made available to those law abiding licensed shooters who are able to make use of them.

I have been a law abiding citizen all 55 years of my life never having been in court for anything but jury duty. I find it insulting and distressful that this government thinks that banning access to law abiding citizens will solve anything except to keep ill informed squeaky wheels quiet.
