It takes 1 bullet to kill, it does not matter what sort of gun is being used, it matters who is using it and their intended purpose. Licence holders are the good people in this situation, this decision will do nothing to stop the actions of a criminal!

The proposal of punishing law abiding firearms owners is a knee jerk reaction on a criminal situation that was caused by a illegal firearms owner. Criminals will always be able to get imported guns unless the government stops the imports.
Illegal imported firearms are the problem not law abiding firearms owners!
Stop punishing us who do the right thing and obey the law.

To whom it may concern- As a law abiding citizen of this country I would like to formally object to this absurd new amendment you are proposing. When the gun buy-back was instigated Canberra cried out it would make Australia so much safer, and it hasn't. Villains are still committing crime and if anything it has increased. So please now don't try and force useless laws on the general public using the same old scare mongering. Lever-action rifles do not constitute (Military weapons) and never will. They are not automatic/semi-automatic in any way shape or form so please see some reasoning. Are all politicians blind, no wonder the general public is fed up with the major parties? I pray God will allow you to see sanity and forgo this crazy idea. Thanks for you time and God bless. Dennis Wells
