What is going on with you politicians? How about we get rid of all the corrupt politicians and Australia will be a safer place. It’s not to late, lets have that coronial enquiry into Port Arthur and see the real criminals put behind bars. Leave the law abiding firearm owner alone.

All lever action firearms should remain legal, classified under category A. They are not high rate of fire guns, and they have been around for well over 120 years.
Many of the people implementing this ban have zero knowledge of firearms and do not understand the impact that such a ban will have on responsible, licenced shooters.

Mr Abbot,
If you want to reduce gun crime then focus your attention on organised crime groups such as drug dealers and manufacturers

As a licensed owner of a leaver action 22lr rifle. I don't want to loose the privilege to owning one. In fact it is my first firearm on my license. I have been newly licensed since after Easter 2015 so I'm a new shooter.

Taking away my lever actions as a way to be seen to be doing something is an absolute disgrace . The greens senate enquiry highlighted that the majority of firearms crime in Australia ( over 95%) is caused by illegally imported automatic handguns that have never been on a register. Why punish me when I give hundreds of hours back to the general public each year by way of pest control programs, deer hunting and purchasing goods and services in country communities. I am absolutely disgusted.
We should not judge all, on the actions of a few,
Keep the lever action firearms!!
