Dont agree with this at all. The reasons for banning these have no merit what so ever. It all about politicians blowing smoke in the wrong direction and having people who know nothing about it telling us what we can and cant do. If you want to make a real difference start hitting the crims alot harder instead of law abiding citizens, how hard would it be to give police more power when it comes to KNOWN criminals.

Totally agree with the letter governments are always knee jerk reactors. Always blame the people who legally own firearms as you are an easy target.
Our constitution gives every australian the right to own firearms but our government steals our rights especially Abbot.

Prime minister most people get their information about firearms from Hollywood movies or the ill informed biased media. Where did you get yours? Leave law abiding people alone and concentrate on the crooks please.

Legal and registered firearms rate very low in criminal circles as a firearm of choice because they have difficulty accessing them.
Illegally imported black market firearms are the preferred weapon of choice because you the incumbent government and that inept government before allowed them to slip into the country unnoticed. A proven fact yet you shaft legal, law abiding firearms owners to further your own ends. Shame on you; get your political snout out of the trough!

You work for the people of australia abbott... you make no decision for the people of australia without consulting everyone... to ban lever actions after the sydney siege is going to cause a rise in people to overthrow the current government and take back the control of this great country of ours!
