l am 2nd generation Victorian Firearm Safety Instructor and l will only hope my son can follow on 128 years of leaver action shotguns and not a single fertility in Australia from them, you are penalizing the wrong people, again. Disappointed

Martin place keeps being used as an excuse to review firearm laws. Fair enough, if they target the criminals breaking the laws. Why do we need to target law abiding firearm owners?
The legal system and government need to come down much harder on the organised crims importing, distributing and using illegal firearms.
Manis was not a licensed shooter with a registered shotgun. He was a criminal terrorist.
Law abiding firearm owners are responsible and trained. We have jumped through many hoops just to be able to enjoy our legal past times.
Taking guns away or restricting what is available will not stop crimes or terrorist acts. Thinking it will stop crime is just naive.
It's not like it's new technology when it comes to the crunch. The lever action has been around for a hell of a long time, as has multi barrel firearms.
Let's use a little commonsense and punish the criminals, not law abiding Australian citezins.

Why should thoes that have lever actions have to suffer because of bad marketing choices.... This is clearly a political agenda against firearms owners.... Drunk drivers kill more people than registered firearms so why not ban alcohol ????

Yes keep my lever action rifles legal they have been legal under all the current classes for as long as I've had a license so why does it have to change now ?
