Lever actions are old, old, technology.
As usual. the government is targeting people who are no threat to anyone and cynically trying to be "seen to do something" about a non existent problem.

My Grandfather my Mum and Dad and myself and my wife and daughter all owned and used leaver actions on the farm,they are safe and light to carry

banning them will only punish the farmers and licenced gun holders. Enforce harsher penalties for unlicenced/unlawful posession instead. criminal minority will still find other ways to get hold of weapons.

The amount of lever action gun crimes in australia is inconclusive to need a need to ban, dont take them away from law abiding citizens, make them harder for the few criminals to aquire them

The government needs to put its efforts into finding criminal with firearms. Not pursuing further restrictions on law abiding licensed firearms owners.

We have bigger issues in Australia that need attention , penalising legal gun owners for the actions of criminals is absolutely backward !
