200 years after the abolition of transatlantic slave trade migrants across British cities are abused, stripped of dignity and forced in to destitution -eating in bins sleeping in toilets, parks and telephone boxes as they wait to be deported to death. Migrants are still confined to the margins of the society; society that accept without question the services that migrants provide. We are calling for a new government policy that would introduce a one-off limited regularization for many thousands of migrants forced to live and work in a state of illegality, deprived of rights and vulnerable to exploitation.

I am looking at the momentum behind this and I am genuinely humbled by how many people care about this injustice. This is entirely your doing because you refused to let these stories go unnoticed.

this is absolutely heartbreaking to read. how can we call ourselves a civilized country when people are forced to live like this? treat them with some basic humanity.

its long past time to fix this broken system. these people are just trying to survive and they deserve way better than being treated like trash.
