Shutting this camp down seems to be the exact opposite of what is needed in this world today. Let the kids have some joy!

Please keep this camp as is! My children, my nieces and nephews love it! Shelly has been amazing for so many families! My 4 yr old was devastated that she couldn’t go this yr due to the new age requirement. If it is shut down indefinitely so many kids will be broken hearted! Please save CKC!!!!

When I was in HS, Mrs. Shelnutt was my ECE teacher and had this camp for the kiddos. When I went as a volunteer the kids were full of pure joy. Now that I have a child of my own, my hopes were to send him when he was of age to a camp I once participated in. Who in their right minds think this should be taken away from innocent children!?

Country kids camp is something that should be mandatory for children. We as a society have forgotten what it’s like to let kids be kids. Great camp ran by even better people.

as a former camper AND staff member, this is so bitter sweet. i am so upset to hear that someone wants to actual shut down a humbling, christian childrens camp. i am also overwhelmed by all of this support from the. community. i am not sure who wants the camp to shut down or why but here are just a few reasons why it should stay open: 1.) if it is bc of a traffic issue, the “traffic” only lasts 20-30 min max three times a day and is very minimal. 2.) this camp better kids lives and provides a living for a great family. 3.) a percentage of campers attend all 15 days of camp (through a scholarship sometimes thanks to shelly) to escape from a bad home life
