Letter to the Honorable Huang Xilian

ESL Company helped people like me to be able to gain money in this pandemic that we are in. It became a daily routine to be with our regular students. It help me feed my family in the comfort of being at home. Unlike other people that loses their job due to laying over of employees, 51Talk gave me an opportunity to earn. Thus, I hope you hear this plea. Help us teachers by simply allowing ESL companies continue their business. Because their business feed our family. Their business help us survive in this pandemic. Their business has been helping a lot of people here in the Philippines that are deprived of the local job opportunity. ESL companies made me want to actually pursue a degree in teaching even if I'm already a graduate in a certain degree. 51Talk has given me the opportunity I never thought I could received. They gave me the chance to improved and be dedicated. Hear the plea of the Filipino as you are not only abolishing the ESL Companies, but also taking away the means of Filipino ESL teachers to earn money to feed to their family. Seek in your heart to give us the chance to retain this job by not abolishing ESL companies like 51Talk.

Chinese Embassy Manila I have been in this ESL (English as Second Language) industry since 2019. I've worked with a BPO company for more than 3 years but when I heard about 51talk, everything changed. Now, I am earning more than my previous salary. Teaching ESL really changed my life, because of it I was able to support my family. It also gave me a chance to help others find a job. Do you remember when the pandemic started? A lot of people lose their jobs but 51talk opened their doors for us. They offered jobs and opportunities for us to enjoy. I almost failed New Teachers Training (NTT) because I am not prepared and yet they gave me a chance to prove that I am capable and worthy of the job. Why 51Talk? It's very simple, 51talk led me to the right path of my life.... I realized that teaching is my passion. 51talk taught me how to be grateful and passionate in what I am doing....
