Letter to the Honorable Huang Xilian

As a teacher we are here to guide our student to be the best they can be to serve their purpose in life and for their country because they are our future.

I am glad teaching Chinese kids. They are fun and it makes me work hard in teaching to help them develop their listwning and speaking skills towards English language.

I've been an ESL teacher for more than 4 years and this is the only job that has given me an opportunity to teach young learners which I enjoyed doing. 51talk helped me in many ways such as financially and emotionally so please give us a chance to continue teaching Chinese young learners.

I am sending this petition, because my older sister is one of the 51talk teacher who spends their effort and time to help the young learners learn. My sister is also financing my college tuition fee. We cannot imagine what will happen, specially with the pandemic now. Please grant our petition. Thank you.

We hope for your kind understanding and hope you hear the plea of the thousands of Filipino online English teachers. Please do not take away the opportunity for us to continue teaching Chinese kids.

Been in the ESL industry for 13 years now and never in my lifetime have I imagined that this would happen-alongside the worsening pandemic. I feel for the hundreds and thousands of my co-ESL teachers here in the PH who have been greatly affected-not to mention the increased rate in unemployment this has caused. We miss our Chinese students so much. They have changed our lives as much as we've changed theirs. #SavePinoyESL

Teaching Chinese has been part of our lives for years now. They are our Family. Please let us continue teaching Chinese youth.
