The Director

SUBJECT: URGENT REQUEST FOR MEETING REGARDING SIGNIFICANT CONCERNS AT LEADERS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL-THAMAGA
Dear Sir/Madam
We are writing to you today as deeply concerned parents of learners who are currently enrolled at the Leaders International School in Thamaga. We have observed a series of issues and developments within the school environment that have caused us significant distress and have directly impacted our children's educational experience and well-being. These concerns are substantial enough that we feel it is imperative to address them directly with the leadership responsible for the school's overall direction and governance.
Specifically, our concerns include, but are not limited to:
Academic Concerns
Substandard Curriculum Delivery: We have observed a consistent decline in the quality of curriculum delivery, with instances of less contact time of the teachers with the learners. It has come to our awareness as parents that teachers have gone for a very longer period without getting their monthly remunerations hence their slow down YET parents continue to pay school fees without fail.
It’s quite surprising because we thought the initial reason behind school fees payment was for the management and running of the school including payment of staff members. This has directly impacted our children's academic progress and understanding of core subjects.
Lack of Individualized Attention: Despite promises of personalized learning, our children have received minimal individualized attention, leading to unmet learning needs and a feeling of being overlooked. We are made aware that classes are blocked in an effort to cover up for teachers who are absent making the student-teacher ratio higher.
Inadequate Resources and Facilities: We have noted a significant lack of up-to-date educational resources, including textbooks, technology, and laboratory equipment. Furthermore, certain facilities are poorly maintained, creating an unstimulating and sometimes unsafe learning environment.
Administrative and Operational Concerns
Poor Communication and Transparency: Communication from the school administration has been consistently poor, with a lack of timely updates regarding important school matters, policy changes, and our children's progress. Our attempts to address concerns have often been met with unresponsiveness or inadequate solutions.
Unsafe or Unsupportive Environment: We have serious concerns regarding the safety and emotional well-being of our children within the school premises. This includes instances of bullying, lack of supervision; the school's response to these issues has been unsatisfactory, failing to create a truly supportive and secure environment.
Breach of Contract/Misrepresentation: We believe that the school has failed to deliver on the promises made in its promotional materials, enrollment agreements, and parent handbooks. The services provided do not align with the representations made at the time of enrollment. Constituting a breach of our agreement.
We have attempted to address some of these issues through the school management, but we feel that the systemic nature of these problems requires the attention and intervention of the school's directors. We believe that a direct conversation with you and other relevant directors is essential to fully articulate our concerns, understand the school's plans for remediation, and collaboratively work towards solutions that will benefit all students at Leaders international school.
We formally request a meeting with you and any other appropriate directors or members of the school board at your earliest convenience. We are available to meet on any weekday from 1730 hrs or at a time that works best for your schedule. Please contact us through the school principal and work towards making an arrangement before the end of week ending on the 25 October 2025 since this is a pressing matter that needs an urgent intervention.
We are committed to the success of the school and the well-being of its students, and we believe that open and constructive dialogue is crucial to resolving these pressing issues. We look forward to your prompt response and the opportunity to discuss these matters further.
Sincerely,
Comment
