I hope we're talking about furthering the Kagyu teachings and practices of the Vidyadhara rather than having to go off somewhere to follow traditional Kagyu practices under the tutelage of other teachers. We need to bring them back to us. We could bring Trungpa Rinpoche XII to teach. How awesome would that be?! Shambhala is secular. Buddhism is not. Shambhala is not Buddhism. There certainly may be some who don't connect with the Vidyadhara's Buddhist teachings, but connect to the Shambhala teachings and vice versa or connect with both.
For instance, here in Boulder, there is a Shambhala Hall, so can't we have our Buddhist Shrine Room back? Put Vajradhara back!? Put up our Buddhist lineage pictures? There were always two shrines, one for the Buddhists and one for Shambhala. One Shambhala Hall and one Shrine Room.

It's not mutually exclusive for people to follow the Scorpion Seal path and deepen their relationship to CTR's heart terma, and for others to follow traditional Kagyu practices under the tutelage of teachers who connect more to that stream. There's enough space for all the jewelry to be put out on display.

It would do my heart good - and our collective hearts, I believe - to heal the great divide in the Shambhala sangha. Please let our longing and love for the dharma as taught by our precious root guru, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, show the path to healing.

This transition team should also include one of the victims. With all due respect to the current members of the team - it is NOT sufficiently balanced. Best - Liza

I agree this is the time to try to heal the years-long rift in the full sangha. That said, I also believe it's time to invite some respected leaders from *outside* the Shambhala bubble to help us find our way toward something that works for the 21st century. This must involve a lot more than re-including the Kagyu-Nyingma heritage we have, although that is important. It's very hard for the folks who designed the current state (or the prior one) to design something different, in my experience....

I believe we will unite again. The question is whether it will be under the current organization or a new one. Now is the time for inclusion and reconciliation. This offer may be good for a limited time only. Let’s not pass up this opportunity. Let’s bring back the magic the Vidyadhara ignited!

In addition to the Kagyu-Nyingma buddhadharma sangha, there's also those holding CTR's secular-sacred Shambhala vision: that sangha needs to be included as well.
