For me, it has been a slow process of attrition in feeling that the Kagyu part of Shambhala Buddhism has been misplaced or lost. Today, after a rousing mtg. in our community this past Saturday, I was thinking of just how much has been limited along these lines. We no longer allow other teachers from the Kagyu lineages to come and teach; those who wish to continue with some form of deity practice need to supplicate other teachers for the transmissions I believe; rarely are feasts done that include tantrikas who did not carry on with the Shambhala journey; and so much more. After reading one of the posts in which the copyright and ownership of various texts was recently discussed, it clicked just how much has been lost. I miss not having the Dorje Loppon around to speak with. I miss feeling like I can not go to KCL to participate in Vajrayogini programs and feasts. I believe as others that this is a time to put back together Humpty Dumpty and allow us all to feel we are meaningful members of our sangha. Thank you for listening.

During the period of time when the Sakyong was behaving in a deplorable manner, he also instigated the process of dismantling the Kagyu path so brilliantly and painstakingly expounded by the Vidyadhara. Those who did not think he was overstepping and activley took part in SMR's administration stood by and watched this rift, involving close friends and fellow practitioners, occur. Shame on every single one of you. The inclusion of people not involved in this act of negligence are vital to the process of reconciliation.

I have never understood why SMR saw fit to separate and cut off traditional Tibetan Buddhism teachings from Shambhala and then promote "Shambhala Buddhism" as a panacea to the gaping wound that was left. It is past time that this wound needs to be healed. Younger students seem to have no idea or understanding of the teachings of CTR or of the Buddha, and indeed, ridicule them. How very sad!!!

I actively look for ways to be supportive, and would be happy to "return" if there was an active way I could contribute, it seems that Shambhala, more than any one Mandala, can find a way towards a cohesive, diverse, complex Buddhadharma that has an inclusive big vision that we all can share.

It will be good for us to heal all the schisms and pain caused by cocooning part of the sangha away from the other part. We all have much wisdom to offer. It will be so good to open up the sangha, invite in previously disaffected students of VCTR and also having other Rinpoche’s to come and teach all these hungry students

Shambhala and Buddhism are inseparable - VACT, and so the full expression of these must be maintained as taught by the incomparable Dorje Dradul of Mukpo, Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and the 3 Year retreat practices of Kagyu and Nyingma, The amazing Dechen Rangdrol Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, The Glorious Karmapa, The Kongma Sakyong, etc. Etc. Basta corruzione! Waiting the return of the sadharma. The world is in utter turmoil, and this house needs to be put in order, NOW! : )

The students of the Kagyu and Ningma lineages who are also Shambhalians are part of our community and want to help us. This is a joyous development because it means Shambhala is already a strong culture. The Druk Sakyong always said that Shambhala is a big umbrella and spiritual people of many faiths could be accommodated; this is the place to start!

When KSMR first started teaching Scorpion Seal he said that if there were 10 good years of teachings and practice that would establish that path. This has now happened. We can go forward.

I love Shambhala more than my life....and I support the decisions to prioritize Shambhala culture and practices up to this moment for the reasons that the Sakyong has previously articulated. However, this is a fresh moment and opportunity for a fresh start. I agree that it is the perfect time to expand the umbrella and invite all Shambhala brothers and sisters to the table. We all are connected to our Kagyu and Nyingma forefathers....and their wisdom is needed at this moment. May Shambhala flourish through our taking advantage of this break in the momentum of habit!
