Cochrane is supposed to champion the scientific method. That should involve encouraging criticism and debate, not trying to silence it. At least on these grounds, the action of the Cochrane Board is misguided. Personally I find it unethical, and indeed shameful. Peter Gotzsche deserves your full support for doing an excellent job courageously.

Please take action in our request.

I'm an HTA consultant of the Ministry of Health in Brazil. Dr Gotzsche's work is a model of scientific honesty, and very relevant for all the Scientific community.

Let truth prevail!

We MUST wake up and fight the tyranny of the 'medical mafia' that is hell-bent on destroying honest and ethical Dr's such as Peter Gotzshe. What is happening to people like him, is an outrage.

in the UK,a country where our own health secretary announced today that "our NHS" will be not so much a National Hospital service as focused on prevention (& links that to algorithmic predictability - the Optum method if only they can get access to all our data, and the Genome project -(very helpful endorsement if you want to undermine trust in that work, maybe?), the value of truly independent, conflict of interest free transparent clinical data use and the true promotion of public health needs should be appreciated here above anywhere. We should do all we can to support this petition and the work of researchers of integrity.

You might be able to get rid of one man but long-term you won't be able to eliminate the truth, so why even try. The sooner we confront the facts the earlier we can act upon them, and that moment is long overdue.
